We currently have immediate openings in the following categories: LIMOUSINE DRIVERS: Must have Westchester or New York City Taxi Commission License or promptly apply for one. This position requires previous transportation industry experience and a general knowledge of Westchester, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey arterial routes and airports. INEXPERIENCED DRIVERS: Willing to be Westchester or New York City Taxi Commission licensed. Must study and undergo extensive training program. Working Conditions: Successful candidates must be physically fit to load and unload luggage and alert to conditions on the road, especially in heavy and congested traffic or in bad weather. Defensive attention is also required to help prevent accidents and avoid sudden stops and turns that would jar limousine (VIP) passengers. Day, night and variable work hours are possible. Drivers report for work on time as requested working at least one mandatory week-end shift. Early morning and late shifts are common. As only a 1st class premium standard is offered, all vehicles are luxury show-room new Lincoln Town cars and stretch limousines. This luxury standard of service requires a formal black suit dress code as drivers are expected to conform to a clean and neat appearance at all times. Qualifications: Limousine driver is an occupation generally attractive to individuals with a high school level of education or above who have a good command of the English language. People who are college and post graduate students, business executives locked out of good careers, messengers, ambulance, truck or van drivers, retired police and civil servants often consider limousine driving careers because they seek flexible work schedules that offer high pay in an atmosphere that is clean and respectable. Chauffeurs cater to executive and VIP passengers who have a high regard for intelligence. They like drivers who open doors and can act as executive assistants where delivery of important documents or handling their important clients may be required. DISPATCHER: Must have a minimum of one year’s experience dispatching drivers for either a Taxi, Car Service , Limousine, Ambulette or Bus company. DISPATCHER TRAINEE: Must have previous management experience with staff control or scheduling, such as car rental manager, truck fleet manager, shipping or receiving manager etc. Qualifications: Applicants should be seeking a dedicated career opportunity by helping to build the future and growth of the company. Successful candidates should be computer literate with out-standing customer service skills. Because customer and driver interaction is critical, only a problem solver who can think creatively and manage a front-line field force with limited supervision in a fast paced environment will succeed. |
